Changes to Williamsport since my Birth

Since my physical avatar has burst forth from the land of subconsciousness, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, has been continually shaping. Being the subject of my gram's doting, I practically grew up on the Golden Strip with her, shopping since the stroller. The Golden Strip is the shopping district's street in Williamsport which is formed as East 3rd Street merges with Washington Avenue as you drive East. This, alone, has undergone extreme formations, being listed as best I can from my consciousness:
  • Red Lobster
  • The Olive Garden
  • Taco Bell
  • Blockbuster Video
  • Hardee's restaurant demolished
  • Hess gas station goes out
  • Movie Theater is demolished - Eckard's Pharmacy built
  • The Giant grocery store moved from Royal Plaza to Loyal Plaza
  • Subway
  • TJ Maxx built in Royal Plaza
  • Rita's Italian Ice
  • Payless Shoestore complex built
  • TGI Friday's
  • Staples
  • Aldi
  • Cingular Store
  • Talbot's
  • Fresh Life
  • Office Depot
  • Ichiban
  • Sheetz
  • Candlewood Suites
  • Manhattan Bagel
  • Dolly's Diner
Furthermore, downtown Williamsport, which isn't necessarily the Golden Strip, is now changing at a rate faster than any other point previously in my lifetime, and I love it.
  • Starbucks to be built by August
  • Amphitheater
  • 8+ Screen Multiplex Cinema
  • Pedestrian bridge over highway
  • Majorly new bridge and interchange system
  • Parking structures and terminals
  • Entertaiment Complex
  • Ice Rink
  • Conference Center
And...even more than THAT, at the Lycoming Mall, which is the most extended Williamsport could possibly be, they are adding these shopping expos:
  • Macy's
  • Old Navy
  • Border's Bookstore
  • Dick's Sporting Goods
  • Best Buy
There had been plans of an Applebee's, but that got scrapped for later, as well as plans for demolition of the current Wal-Mart and construction of a Super Wal-Mart.
